Bushwick Inlet Park

 

Overview This project is the first phase of a remaking of the Greenpoint – Williamsburg waterfront. The public space includes a ball fields, café, public meeting rooms, classroom and an office space.

Challenge To ensure minimal environmental impact from the park and its headquarters.

Solutions Rainwater is collected on site and used to supplement the irrigation, the entire project is design to send no storm-water to New York’s combined sewer system. The project included a ground source heat pump loop for efficient heating and cooling, radiant floor to maximize the thermal comfort, and solar panels.
